wow. i had a great new year's. i went to 2 parties.
my week off from work was weird. i stayed home mostly and sorted through stuff in my room. it's still crazy, but getting better.
that's a g-rated what i'm going to tell you version.

i went to a fabulous party last night. i was quite drunken as i totally didin't eat yesterday.
work was not bad, but lunch was horrible. i got into a fight with the resturant manager. we ended up sitting there for an hour and a half and they still hadn't made our pizza. then they burnt everything. it was such a bad experience. my stuff was burnt, so i never got to eat.
so anyway this party was a bunch of random internet people. most of whom i had the pleasure of seeing the weekend before. it was really nice to see people again. it's making living here in florida more bearable. it is so lonely working so much and not really going out much. i hoe there are more parties liek this one. i might think about hosting one myself once i get my place all sorted.
i'm still tyring to get the knots out of my hair from sleeping on the couch. for future knowledge 2 people + one couch + long hair = one big knotted mess of hair in the morning, but it was worth it ¬_¬
so yeah, i totally glossed over the party, i didn't take pics. i actually was able to get spinning room drunk. i suspect becaus ei didn't eat. i normally can not get myself that drunk.
these guys have an xbox hooked up to a huge projector tv ont he wall. it was most impressive. oh yeah, and obviously i suck at nintendo nes jeopardy. it's been years since i played and tbh i wasn't paying a lot of attention. we watched some movie called the cube. i am pretty sure i had seen it before, but i forgot most of it. it was amusing. again i was distracted and kinda falling asleep. |

so saturady i met some ranodm web people and we went to medieval times. that place is so wonderfully tacky. there is no silverware so you eat with your hands. it's quite messy. i recommend the veggitarian cold plate which wa spiled high with cheese, grapes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower. i couldn't finish it. the show was a bit tacky. there was smoke effects for thewizard, the princess was a horny wench. the horses were pretty. the only problem is the seating didn't lend itself to talking to the whole group, only the few people on either side of you. our knight lost.
the party at the apartment afterwards was fun. people played video karaoke. i spentmost of the night outside talking to people. there was a serious shortage of girls at this party :D i need to stop being so shy. i did end up having a fabulous time. i didn't get home until after 5am.
yesterday my parents woke my up at 10am. i scrambled to clean my apartment and make it parentally safe for veiwing. My mom wanted to go to the nice mall here, the one with gucci, cartier, channel, etc. wow, there are some people with entierly too much money. i can't imagine having $500 shoes or a $700 purse. My parents are going to buyme a bedroom suite. i get to pick it out. i also scored a nice sapphire bracelet. merry channukkah to me.
oh and i'm not obsessed, i can't help it i was on irc when the link for the dvd was posted. very nice jorb on the website ash.

being sick just sucks. i totally slept through all of esterday. i am out of sick days so i had to come into work today. i also have to work tomorrow. i tried this new tylenol liquid flu stuff. it's blue, and tastes like ntifreeze. it is so gross, but seems to work.
sunday, my parents are visiting for a day. this means i have to totally do somethign with all of the boxes and stuff in my apartment. i'm sure nothing i do willbe good enough for my mother. it's not heinously dirty, but i do have clothes everywhere and so much stuff still in messy boxes. they want to spend the night. this will be weird. i have a very tiny apartment.
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.
Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.
We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

i just got back from seein g finding never land. a very good flick. easily one of the best flicks i have seen all year. johnny depp continues to astound me with his acting. and well, he is gorgeous. kate winslet was also quite good. the actors playing the boys will be heartbreakers when they grow up. such good actors and all very hansome.
it's been a while since a movie made me cry.
i'm such a sap.
i highly recommend this movie. i tried to go to the 7:20 showing but i missed it because traffic, weather, and a huge line for tickets. so i bought my tickets for the late show and went to borders. the music rag filter has a cover story about bright eyes. (oh they are coming to st. petes and orlando in february!!!!) yeah i know it's just conor (damn spell check) and who ever he drags out on tour, but i am excited. it's all NWA's fault for getting me hooked on Bright Eyes. Fevers and mirrors is just a fabulous album. new double album comes out in january. one folkish cd and one rock. so back to the magazine, the article was really quite good. it's nice because i had no idea what he looked like, and he is either a very good interview, or just a very smart and interesting bloke. i think it's a bit of both. i can't wait to see them. finally a concert to look forward to attending. |
