Soap box time:
Anyone out there feeling abused at the moment? I mean any kind of abuse. Are you being bullied? Are you being hurt by someone close to you? Are you just being picked on because you stand out?
You probably don't want anyone to know and who can blame you but why do we take it? Why do we go through life having some people prey on others? It's just not right and something needs to be done.
Life is a hard enough thing to get through at the best of times so what would happen if people actually did start treating others with the respect they deserved? Would the world fall apart? I don't think so - who knows it might even make things better.
So go ahead and leave your "witty" comments or don't comment at all but just try something for me: just do someone a favour that they didn't ask for, make someone you don't know smile, buy someone you like a surprise gift and when you feel like abusing someone...
DON'T

K, I'm beginning to doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion but up yours I will continue to blog anyway.
The time has come to kill the little bastards that have sought refuge in my house. To be honest I'm not sure where they came from but came they did. It's not like my house is a candidate for "How Clean Is Your House or anything - I'm a relatively tidy (if a bit lazy) bloke with a healthy level of concern about hygene.
We have tried to be nice; we've tried asking them to leave, we've tried catching them and we have even tried humane traps. The only solution from hereon is cold-blooded moider. Today we bought some snap-traps - the kind that are supposed to break the mouses neck but actually tend to slice them in half - so we'll just have to see how that goes.
Here are some real mouse facts which could scare you as much as they scared me:
1) It is estimated that a single female mouse can produce around 20,000 decendents in a five year period.
2) Mouse bones have been found in caves where cavemen lived.
3) Cooked mice were once used to treat whooping cough, smallpox, measles and many other ailments.
4) The word mouse actually comes from an ancient Sanskrit word meaning "thief".
5) Mice become sexually active after just 2 months. They live for a year and in that time can produce six litters. As soon as the litter is born the female becomes sexually active again.
The worrying thing is that unlike my usual blogs I have not made any of this up. |

Mice
Bucking Fastards
Evil denizens of abodes both hither and thither.
Scrambled has problems with mysterious shape-changing were-mice and the Kennedy mice seem to have developed a preternatural intelligence (look it up in a dictionary). Today I checked the humane mao-strap in the kitchen only to find it empty save for some rodent shizzle!! They came into the trap, ate the food, dropped the kids off at the pool and left again!!
In honour of Mousey Houdini and all his stinking pals here are some mouse facts:
10 print "Mice are shit"
20 goto 10
Yesterday I bought a sword and some BB Guns and as expected the contract negotiations with Mini-Dibbie has started going my way again. Expect photos, fun, showing off and permanent eye damage in the next few days.
